LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Athletics had 133 student-athletes recognized on the Spring 2026 Academic All-Mountain West Team, the conference announced Tuesday. The Rebels have now landed at least 70 honorees on the spring list for 23 consecutive years.
Three UNLV Athletics programs produced over 20 honorees, including a department-best 33 from women's track & field, 22 from baseball and 22 from women's swimming & diving. Joining those teams in reaching double figures with the recognition, softball placed 16 on the list.
Rounding out the Rebels' tally of student-athletes honored were men's basketball with nine, women's golf and men's tennis with seven each, women's basketball and women's tennis with six apiece and men's golf with five.
Overall, 1,526 student-athletes were named to the Spring 2026 Academic All-Mountain West Team.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MW Team, student-athletes must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, while competing in 50 percent of their team's completed contests.
2025-26 ACADEMIC YEAR: The spring total gave UNLV 221 total student-athletes named to the Academic All-MW Team for the academic year, which increased from last year's 194 honorees. Along with their Scarlet & Gray counterparts in the MW, men's swimming and diving had 13 student-athletes land on the MPSF All-Academic Team and men's soccer saw eight student-athletes named to the Academic All-WAC Team.
