LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — When the Lady Rebels broke decades-old records on the court during their 2021-22 championship season, it turns out they were doing the same thing in class.

UNLV women's basketball was recognized in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) academic honor rolls, the organization revealed today.  

The Lady Rebels set a program record with a 3.428 team GPA. That figure ranked in the 86th percentile of all Division I teams.

A banner year—two banners, in fact—culminated with UNLV's first outright regular-season conference title since 1990 and its first Mountain West Conference Tournament championship.

Six of the team's 11 undergraduates received Dean's List distinction in the fall and the spring semesters by recording 3.50 or higher GPAs.
