Reigning NIVC Champs Open Season In Texas

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV volleyball team opens the fall 2022 season on the road with a trip to the Lone Star State for North Texas's two-day invite in Denton, Texas. The Rebels will square off against the UTRGV Vaqueros and the host Mean Green Friday before rounding out play Saturday versus the Jacksonville Dolphins.

NORTH TEXAS INVITE SCHEDULE
Friday, August 26
10 a.m. - North Texas vs. Jacksonville
12 p.m. - UNLV vs. UTRGV
4 p.m. - UTRGV vs. Jacksonville
7 p.m. - North Texas vs. UNLV

Saturday, August 27
11 a.m. - Jacksonville vs. UNLV
2 p.m. - North Texas vs. UTRGV

Fans can follow this weekend's Rebel matches at the North Texas Invitational through live stats and social media. Only Friday night's contest against UNT will be available to live stream through ESPN+. ON THE SIDELINES
The UNLV volleyball team returns to Las Vegas and the friendly confines of Cox Pavilion for the Rebel Challenge tournament beginning Thursday, September 1.

The Scarlet & Gray will welcome Weber State, Miami-FL and St. John's University to the Las Vegas Valley for the four-day Rebel Challenge where each team will play each other once.

OTHER NEWS & NOTES:

UNLV returned eight letterwinners this season.
Also returning to the squad from last season were Gabrielle Arretche-Ramos, Arien Fafard, Jordyn Freeman, Chloe Thomas, Isha Knight, Keyana Cruse, Dakota Quinlan, Livvy Setla, Isabel Martin and Thea Sweder. There are eight newcomers, which include three freshmen, a trio of transfers and a pair of graduate transfers.
UNLV is coming off a record-breaking season during the spring that saw the Rebels go undefeated in regular-season play (12-0) and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Rebels ended the season with a 13-1 overall record, falling to eventual national champion Kentucky.
UNLV is led by fifth-year head coach Dawn Sullivan, who looks to guide her squad to the postseason for the fifth straight season.

PURCHASE TICKETS: Tickets for the 2022 UNLV Volleyball season, which are just $50 for the general public and $40 for seniors, faculty & staff or alumni, are on sale now and may be purchased at UNLVtickets.com, by calling 702-739-FANS (3267) or by visiting the Thomas & Mack Center Box Office.

Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6.

All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV's new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
