LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV volleyball team (7-1) is back on the road to close out non-conference play with a trip to Cedar City, Utah for the Southern Utah Invitational. The two-day tournament features two matches day one, beginning Friday morning with a match against Idaho State (7-3) at 11 a.m. (PT) and an evening game against Southern Utah (0-7). The Rebels will close out the tournament in St. George, Utah on Saturday for a contest against Utah Tech at 2 p.m. (PT).
The Scarlet & Gray enter the weekend after having won both of its last two matches at the Kansas Invitational, including a win over no. 19 Kansas in four sets (3-1).

ON THE SIDELINES
The Rebels will open up conference play next week with a trip to Fort Collins, Colorado to play against Colorado State on Thursday, September 22 at 6 p.m. (PT).
LEADERS IN THE MW AND THE NATION
- UNLV currently ranks eighth in the NCAA for assists per set (13.29), 13th in kills per set (14.10) and 42nd in hitting percentage (.263).
- The Rebels currently lead the conference for assists per set (13.29), kills per set (14.10) and in hitting percentage (.263) and they also rank fourth in blocks per set (2.32).
- Senior Jhenna Gabriel sits second in the conference and 20th in the nation for assists with 10.62 per set.
- Sophomore Dakota Quinlan sits third in the conference for hitting percentage (.365) and eighth in blocks with 23 total and 0.96 per set.
- Redshirt-junior Isabel Martin ranks third in the MW for kills per set with 4.19 and for points with 4.68 per set.
- Junior Gabrielle Arretche-Ramos sits fifth in the MW in kills per set with 3.67 and sits eighth for points with 3.87 per set.
- Freshman Maya Sands is tied for seventh in the MW for service aces with 0.42 per set and ranks eighth for digs with 3.58 per set.
- Sophomore Chloe Thomas ranks ninth in the MW for hitting percentage with .297.
OTHER NEWS & NOTES
- Dating back to 2019, UNLV has gone 64-13 in its last 77 matches. The Rebels have won seven of eight matches this season and 33 of its last 40.
- UNLV returned eight letterwinners this season. Also returning to the squad from last season were Gabrielle Arretche-Ramos, Arien Fafard, Jordyn Freeman, Chloe Thomas, Isha Knight, Keyana Cruse, Dakota Quinlan, Livvy Setla, Isabel Martin and Thea Sweder. There are eight newcomers, which include three freshmen, a trio of transfers and a pair of graduate transfers.
- UNLV is led by fifth-year head coach Dawn Sullivan, who looks to guide her squad to the postseason for the fifth straight season.Â
- Junior Arien Fafard had her 1,000th career assist during the opening weekend of the Rebels' 2022 campaign at UNT.Â
- The Rebels defeated No. 19 Kansas on September 10, 2022, making that the second win over a ranked team since 2016. The first being then No. 25 Washington State during the fall 2021 season at the Rebel Challenge (Sept. 4, 2021).Â

Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6.Â
All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV's new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
