LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV running back Aidan Robbins, who is tied for the national lead with seven total touchdowns, rolled his way to Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

A graduate transfer from the University of Louisville, Robbins (Louisville, KY) ran 29 times for 227 yards and three touchdowns to help UNLV rout North Texas 58-27 on Saturday. The rushing total ranked eighth in Rebel single-game history. With his team trailing 10-9 in the second quarter, the A-Train scored on back-to-back drives to give the Rebels a lead they would never relinquish.

Only three games into the season, this marks the first time since 2013 (QB Caleb Herring and WR Devante Davis) that UNLV earned more than one MW Offensive Player of the Week in the same year as quarterback Doug Brumfield won it August 29.

Robbins joins Charles Williams (Nov. 15, 2021) as the only two Rebel running backs to earn the honor since Tim Cornett did it in 2010 and the only two to win it outright since "Jersey" Joe Haro way back in October 2001. Cornett, Frank "The Tank" Summers (2007) and Larry Croom (2002) all won Co-Offensive Player of the Week awards since Haro's outright win more two decades ago.

UNLV (2-1) opens its Mountain West schedule by traveling to Utah State on Saturday at 4 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast nationally by CBS Sports Network.
