LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's soccer (1-5) team suffered a 2-1 loss to Loyola Marymount (2-0-3) Thursday evening at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
Trailing 1-0 to LMU in the 25th minute, the Rebels received an equalizer moments later in the 32nd minute from senior
Alysa Caso after a loose ball off a corner kick rolled in front of her for the score. Caso's score was the first goal allowed by the Lions in five games this season.
The contest remained deadlocked at 1-1 until the Lions scored a penalty kick in the 71st minute to break the tie.
UNLV returns to the pitch Sunday at Peter Johann Memorial Field for a match vs. Idaho State set to start at 1 p.m. PT.
