LOS ANGELES (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's and women's swimming teams claimed nine first-place finishes in spite of falling to USC in Saturday's dual meet at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
Taking on the No. 10 Trojans women's squad, the Rebels were outscored 148-109. On the men's side, the Scarlet & Gray men dropped their contest to the No. 20 Trojans by a final tally of 143-111.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN
*Bokros flew her way to victory in the 200 fly with a time of 2:00.75, finishing nearly three seconds ahead of the next finisher in second place from USC (2:03.70). Additionally, Bokros placed third in the 100 fly (55.92) and 100 free (52.36) on the day.
*Bartlett surged to another Rebel win, taking first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:05.29. The finish concluded her busy day which also included second-place finishes in the 100 breast (1:03.09) and 200 breast (2:17.20).
*In the 200 free relay that was exhibitioned by USC, UNLV's 'A' team (Cohen, Webb, Sullivan, Fernandez) combined for a first-place time of 1:35.06.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN
*Leading the way for all Rebels on both sides, Castro went unbeaten in his pair of distance events. He finished first in the 1000 free (9:30.06) and 500 free (4:35.03).
*Bolanos swam his way to a first-place finish in the 100 back (48.67) and a fourth-place finish in the 200 back (1:51.12).
*In the 100 breast, Beji earned a win with a time of 54.48 seconds. He paired that with a second-place finish in the 200 breast (2:02.37).
*Breitbart touched with the Scarlet & Gray's final individual first-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.62.
*The meet's final event, which was also exhibitioned by the Trojans, saw the Rebel 'A' squad (Butler, Huey, Bolanos, Hemmens) reach the wall first with a time of 1:21.16.
UP NEXT: The Rebel divers will give the swimmers a break next weekend when they visit the Golden State for the UCLA Bruin Diving Invitational from Friday-Sunday, Jan. 13-15.
