LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -- The two-time defending Mountain West champion UNLV women's basketball team, which is receiving votes in both preseason top 25 polls for the first time in 19 years, will host its lone exhibition game of the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
The contest against Cal State LA will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Cox Pavilion.Â
The Lady Rebels were predicted to win a third straight conference championship during the 2023-24 season at the league's media day.Â
Individually, UNLV received three accolades at the event at Resorts World in Las Vegas with senior center
Desi-Rae Young and junior guard
Kiara Jackson both being selected to the Preseason All-MW Team, and guard
Amarachi Kimpson recognized as the MW's Preseason Co-Freshman of the Year.
Young has also been recognized this preseason as one of 20 student-athletes nationwide to be selected to the watch list for the 2024 Lisa Leslie Award, which annually recognizes the top center in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.
