COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's soccer fell to Air Force, 1-0, Thursday night at Cadet Soccer Stadium on the front end of a two-game weekend road trip to Colorado.
The final outcome against the Falcons (5-6-1, 2-2-1) marks the Rebels' (5-4-5, 1-2-2) only road defeat this season after going unbeaten (4-0-2) through their first six contests as a visitor.
Battling a deficit late in the second half, UNLV nearly came up with the equalizer on a pair of scoring opportunities. Those included sophomore
Mallie Ramirez's 74th-minute header that was parried by a collision with the Air Force goalkeeper and a 60th-minute free kick from 23 yards out by graduate student
Jules Dominguez that scathed the right corner of the crossbar.
