FLAGSTAFF (UNLVRebels.com) - Four Lady Rebels were in double-figures as the UNLV women's basketball team secured an 85-69 victory over Northern Arizona on Wednesday night at the Rolle Activity Center.
 
UNLV (7-0) led by as many as 17 points as Ashley Scogging led the squad with a season-high 18 points by shooting 6-for-11 from the field and 3-for-6 from long range. Scoggin was also a perfect 3-for-3 at the free throw line, and brought down six rebounds, which tied her career-high. Kiara Jackson added 17 points by shooting 7-for-14 from the field and was a perfect 1-for-1 from the three-point line and 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Jackson also dished out a career-high nine assists. Desi-Rae Young and Alyssa Brown each added 13 points, and Young picked up her 39th career double-double having brought down 14 boards.

Northern Arizona (4-3) was led by Leia Beattie and Emily Rodabaugh who both collected 13 points each.
 
HOW IT WENT DOWN: UNLV and NAU were tied four times and exchanged the lead five times in just the first quarter, but the Lady Rebels led by as much as nine, 30-21, before the quarter ended. UNLV held a two-point lead going into the second quarter at 30-28. NAU then tied the game with a bucket to start the second quarter, 30-30, but UNLV then went on an 18-6 run to take a double-digit lead, 48-36. With less than a minute left before the half, the Lumberjacks cut the Lady Rebels' lead to eight, 51-43. After the break, UNLV extended the lead to 65-48, but NAU scored 11 straight to make it 65-59 with less than two minutes to go in the third quarter. Going into the final frame, the Lumberjacks were within three at 67-64, but UNLV extended the lead back to seven, 71-64. NAU then was within just one basket, 71-69, the Lady Rebels turned it up and went on a 14-0 to secure the victory.
 
OTHER NOTES
- This was the first time since 1999 that the Lady Rebels have defeated NAU on the Lumberjacks' home court.
- The Lady Rebels are now 16-4 in the all-time series against Northern Arizona and have won the last three out of the four meetings.
- Jasmyn Lott collected a season-high nine points. Lott shot 2-for-4 from the field and was a perfect 1-for-1 from behind the arc and 4-for-4 at the free throw line.
- UNLV outshot NAU 48.4% to 40.6% from the field and 53.3% to 33.3% from the three-point line.
- The Lady Rebels out-rebounded the Lumberjacks 46- 31.
