HACKENSACK (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's basketball team is back in the win column after defeating FDU, 71-59, on Thursday afternoon at the Stratis Arena. The Lady Rebels (10-1) finished the non-conference schedule with 10 wins for the second consecutive season.

Desi-Rae Young led the squad with 19 points and shot 6-for-9 from the field and was a perfect 1-for-1 behind the arc and 6-for-6 at the free throw line. Young brought down seven rebounds and had one assist.
Alyssa Brown was the leading rebounder for the Lady Rebels, as she had 11 boards. Young also dished three assists.
Nneka Obiazor tied her career-high in assists with four, which was the team-high.

FDU (2-10) was led by Teneisia Brown with 15 points and Lilly Parke with 10 points, respectively. Abby Conklin led the Knights in rebounds with 10.

DEFENSIVE EFFORT: UNLV held FDU to just nine points (4-for-12 field goals and no three-pointers) in the third quarter. The Lady Rebels only allowed the Knights to shoot 35.6% for the game (21 of 59).

OTHER NOTES:
- The Lady Rebels out-rebounded the Knights 38-34.
- UNLV was a perfect 11-for-11 at the free throw line.
- The Lady Rebels had five steals including Kiara Jackson with two, which ties her career-high.
- UNLV dished out 13 assists compared to FDU's 11.
- The Lady Rebels had 44 paint points, 28 points off the bench including Jasmyn Lott who sparked 10 points and shot 5-for-9.
