LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV track & field sophomore Rosa Santana has been named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Saturday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

Santana, the Dominican Republic native, finished third in the women's shot put event at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships after breaking her own program record with a mark of 18.43m (60-05.75). The finish earned her USTFCCCA First Team All-American honors.
