LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — Utah State rallied past UNLV 4-3 after nine innings to win the series opener Friday at Johnson Field in Logan, Utah.
Gabrielle Jimenez tapped a bases-loaded single into left field for the walk-off RBI, scoring the last of four unanswered runs.
UNLV (20-26 overall, 6-12 Mountain West) led 3-0 following
Ariana Martinez's two-RBI double in the top of the fourth.Â
Martinez finished 1-for-4 with one walk.
Aggie third baseman Claire Raley worked a single into scoring on a wild pitch in the bottom of the frame. Giselle Gonzalez led off the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run to cut the deficit to 1.

Jessie Fontes after the Aggies began their seventh with back-to-back hits. USU designated player Grace Matej dropped an opposite-field fly over left fielder to knock in the game-tying run.
Denise Armendariz drew a two-out, full-count walk in the top of the third. This loaded the bases for
Sofia Morales, 2-of-5 with one RBI, whose single scored the Rebels' first run.Â
UNLV shortstop
Maddie Schmidt leadoff the game with a full-count walk, extended her on-base streak to 26 games. Schmidt also stole second in the inning to become one of only two Division I players (Remington Ross, Ball State; 22-22) counting a perfect 20-for-20 record stealing bases this season.
