LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – No less than 10 different UNLV football players were named preseason All-Mountain West by Phil Steele's and Athlon Sports preview publications.
 
Junior wide receiver Ricky White (Marietta, GA) was a first team pick by Athlon and a second teamer by Phil Steele, where he was joined by new offensive lineman Jalen St. John (St. Louis, MO), who transferred to UNLV from Arkansas and will be junior this fall.
 
Junior safety Johnathan Baldwin (Houston, TX) was a member of Athlon's third team and Phil Steele's fourth team.
 
Phil Steele's other fourth team choices from the Rebels were junior quarterback Doug Brumfield (Inglewood, CA), senior linebacker Jerrae Williams (Westwego, LA), junior defensive lineman Jalen Dixon (Seattle, WA) and junior offensive lineman Marcus Miller (Castro Valley, CA).
 
Athlon had a trio of different picks with senior running back Courtney Reese (Naranja, FL), junior offensive lineman Tiger Shanks (Lake Oswego, OR), and senior defensive end Elijah Shelton (Salt Lake City) all making the fourth team.
