Biography

UNLV: A versatile, high-energy defender who finally got on the field for the Rebels … Changed his jersey number to 1 (from 23) for his senior season … The former walk-on transfer sat out both the 2020 and ‘21 seasons while gaining eligibility … Came to Las Vegas to join a high school teammate in Louisiana, now-former Rebel standout defender Jacoby Windmon.

2022: Earned his first letter as a Rebel by playing in all 12 games, including starting nine … Finished sixth on the team with 56 total tackles … Ranked fourth with 5.5 TFL and tied for third with two interceptions to go with fumble recovery and a pass breakup … Had a big game at Cal in Week Two, posting seven tackles (five solo), one TFL and grabbed his first interception that he returned 15 yards … Made it three straight games with seven TT apiece after doing it in wins over North Texas and then Utah State when he added his second INT … His five takedowns in a win over New Mexico included two TFL … Recovered a fumble to go with five TT vs. Fresno State … His career-high nine tackles in the season-ending victory over UNR included a TFL.

ARKANSAS MONTICELLO: Signed with the NCAA Division II program out of high school. 2019: Played in two games and recorded two tackles for the Boll Weevils as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2019 graduate of John Ehret HS near Marrero, LA … A three-year letterwinner under coach Marcus Scott … Played CB, FS and nickel for the Patriots … Earned second team all-district honors in 2018 after totaling 50 tackles, six forced fumbles and four sacks as a senior and helping Ehret to a 12-2 record.

PERSONAL: Jerrae Anthony Williams was born in 2000 in Westwego, LA … The son of Latoya Williams and Jerome Jordan … Has four younger siblings: Jerkaila Jordan, Heaven Jordan, Tomeah Williams and Chy Lacour … His sister Jerkaila is a basketball standout who was named 2021 AAC Freshman of the Year at Tulane before transferring to Mississippi State … Majoring in sociology.
