LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV Athletics and the American Red Cross have collaborated to host a blood drive event at the Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday, August 31. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the adjacent Cox Meeting Room and presents an opportunity for the UNLV and Southern Nevada communities to come together and contribute to an essential cause.
Generous donors will be contributing toward saving lives and will also be rewarded with two complimentary tickets to UNLV football's game vs. Bryant on September 2 at Allegiant Stadium.
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Red Cross for this impactful blood drive event," UNLV Director of Athletics Erick Harper said. "Giving back to the community has always been important to UNLV Athletics and this collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to make a positive difference. We are also pleased to be able to give anyone that participates by donating blood two free tickets to come to our exciting home football opener at Allegiant Stadium."

"It's an opportunity for our department and our fans to come together and make a big impact on the community by donating blood and helping those in need.
