LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's soccer dropped its season-opening match vs. North Texas, 3-0, Thursday night at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
After the Mean Green grabbed the lead in the 11th-minute, the Rebels (0-1) continued to battle to the tune of eight shots for the contest - six of which were on goal.
However, UNT (1-0) held off those attempts by the Scarlet & Gray, which played short one player for 69 minutes after being whistled for a 21st-minute red card.
UP NEXT: The Rebels are set to return to action at Peter Johann Memorial Field for Sunday's scheduled match vs. CSUN at noon.
