SATURDAY'S PREVIEW...
UNLV (1-0/0-0) plays its first road game under first-year head coach Barry Odom with a trip to No. 2/2 Michigan (1-0/0-0) Saturday afternoon ... With the updated national rankings delayed until Tuesday because of the Labor Day game, the Wolverines are expected to at least tie for the highest-ranked opponent in Rebel history as UNLV faced second-ranked Tennessee, led by QB Peyton Manning, to open the 1996 season in Knoxville ... This will mark UNLV's first top-10 opponent since a 2017 trip to No. 9/10 Ohio State ... The Rebels will appear on CBS for the first time in 56 years of playing football ... UNLV's 44-14 victory over Bryant on Saturday made Odom the first Rebel coach to win his first game at the school since future College Football Hall of Famer John Robinson won at North Texas in 1999 ... Michigan opened its campaign at home with a 30-3 win over East Carolina ... Odom, who spent four seasons as head coach at Missouri, improved to 3-2 in season-openers ... On Saturday, the Rebels rushed for five touchdowns (from four different players) in the 30-point win over the Bulldogs while Doug Brumfield became the first Rebel starting QB to win two straight season-openers since Omar Clayton in 2009-10.

REBELS vs. WOLVERINES NOTES...
These teams first played each other in Week Three of the 2015 season when Michigan won 28-7 in Ann Arbor ... UNLV is 2-16 vs. teams that currently make up the Big Ten Conference ... The Rebels' most-recent win over a team from the league came in a 23-5 upset at No. 14/15 Wisconsin in 2003... Michigan played Mountain West teams in back-to-back weeks (Colorado State and Hawai'i) to open the 2022 season ... The Rebels have only played in the Great Lakes State four times previously: at UM 2015, at Eastern Michigan in 1995 and at Central Michigan in 1994 and 2016 ... Saturday's game will potentially be the largest crowd the Rebels have ever played in front of as UNLV has thrice seen more than 100,000 fans in trips to play Tennessee (2004 and 1996) and a school-record 108,683 at the Big House in 2015 ... Second-year UNLV WR Ricky White will make his return to Michigan Stadium where, as a member of Michigan State, he caught eight passes for 196 yards and a touchdown vs. the Wolverines on Halloween 2020.
