ROME, Ga. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV men's tennis standout Illia Maksymchuk won two more rounds on Saturday to advance to the finals of the consolation draw of the 2024 ITA Conference Masters Championships, taking place this weekend at the Rome Tennis Center.
 
Maksymchuk, who earned his spot in the elite singles field by winning the Mountain West Qualifier last month, took his quarterfinal match over Zhengqing Ji of Yale, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3. He then returned in the afternoon and downed Leon Harder of Long Island University, 6-4, 6-2.
 
The Rebel sophomore will now face Jack Batchelor of Bellarmine University in Sunday's title tilt.
