BOISE, Idaho (UNLVRebels.com) – The 70th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team lost 4-0 to No. 69 Boise State to wrap up the regular-season on Saturday at the Appleton Tennis Center.
 
The Rebels fell to 13-7 overall and finished in a tie for third place in the Mountain West at 4-3 while the Broncos improved to 20-8 and 4-3.

BSU took a 1-0 lead after doubles by winning two of three matches. Marko Maksimovic and Illia Maksymchuk won 6-3 on court two over Stewart Aronson and Filip Soderqvist but the hosts won a tiebreaker in the deciding match on top to secure the point.  

In singles play, three Rebels won their first set but none was able to close out a match before the Broncos got a trio of straight-set victories to end things. At the top of the lineup, 65th-ranked All-American Ilia Snitari led Avery Tallakson, 6-3, 5-5, when the match was halted.
 
UP NEXT: The Rebels will open play in the first round of the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men's Tennis Championship, which begins Wednesday at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas.
