LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's basketball team is on a six-game winning streak after defeating Colorado State 67-64 on Wednesday night at the Cox Pavilion. The Lady Rebels recorded the regular season sweep over the Rams and have won the last six meetings between the two squads.

The Lady Rebels (21-2, 11-1 MW) had three players score in double figures. Kimpson led the squad with her career-high 20 points off the bench by shooting 8-for-11 from the field and tied her career-high at the three-point line going 4-for-5.
Desi-Rae Young had her 46th career double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds (six offensive, eight defensive).
Nneka Obiazor added 11 points.Â
Colorado State (15-9, 6-7 MW) was led by Marta Leimane with a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Sanna Strom added 17 points, McKenna Hofschild was held to 13 points and Sydney Mech scored 10 points.

STAT OF THE GAME: UNLV held Colorado State's bench to no points, compared to the Lady Rebels bench having 37 points.

HOW IT ENDED: The Lady Rebels trailed 49-51 heading into the fourth quarter. Colorado State extended the lead by five at 53-49, 15 seconds into the final frame. The Lady Rebels then scored nine consecutive points to take the lead 58-53. Colorado State and UNLV then went end-to-end exchange baskets, before Sanna Strom put up a layup with a second left on the clock to get within two, 66-64.
Kiara Jackson received the inbound and was then fouled in front of the Rams' bench and drained a free throw to help secure the 67-64 victory.

OTHER NOTES:
- Young recorded her 1,000 career rebound in a Lady Rebels uniform and currently has 1,003 career rebounds and counting. She is the first player since Jamie Smith (2008-12), the current rebound school record holder, to hit the 1,000 career mark.
- The Lady Rebels and Rams exchanged the lead 11 times throughout the game and were tied three times.
- UNLV and CSU each had 26 points in the paint.
- The Lady Rebels forced 12 Rams' turnovers and scored 10 points off them.
- UNLV out-rebounded Colorado State 42-32.
- This was the first time this season that the Lady Rebels trailed after the third quarter and collected the win.
