LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team returned home Friday afternoon after playing a ranked USC on the road. With expectations of clear skies, the Rebels instead got gloomy and cold weather in which they fell 6-1 to NAU at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. 

The Rebels dropped to 4-3 while the Lumberjacks improved to 4-3. 

NAU led 1-0 after it took the first two doubles matches.  
 

In singles play, UNLV won the first set on half of the courts but turned cold when it came to closing out matches, including dropping three three-setters.

REBEL OF THE MATCH: Senior Anton Ornberg supplied his team with its only point by downing Dani Torres at the No. 1 position to improve to 5-1 in dual matches. Ornberg recently earned his first career Mountain West Player of the Week award.  

UP NEXT: UNLV will close out the weekend on Super Bowl Sunday by hosting Loyola Marymount starting with doubles play at 1 p.m. Admission to all matches is free of charge.
