Two From Men's Tennis Earn Academic Honor

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Two UNLV players were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.

Senior Vitaliy Horovoy (Kyiv, Ukraine) and sophomore Michael Kouame (Paris, France) were both honored after serving as starters in the Rebel lineup this season.

Horovoy, who also earned this award last season, held a 3.83 grade point average with a major in computer engineering. Kouame, in his first season as a Rebel, boasted a 3.73 in finance.

Honorees must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while being a starter or significant contributor on the courts. The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
