GAME 1: UNLV 3, Youngstown State 2

In the top half of the first inning of the game, the Penguins scored first to take an early 1-0 lead, on a long infield pop-up that took the second baseman back onto the grass. The Rebels were not worried as the bottom half of the inning they tied it up. Maddie Schmidt led off with a walk and Janyssa Martin then bunted her over to second. Back-to-back-walks by Ariana Martinez and Alyssa Trejo loaded the bases for UNLV. The Rebels took advantage of a fielding error by the Youngstown State second baseman and scored a run to knot it up 1-all. Four scoreless innings went by on both sides, before the Penguins roped a solo home run to take a 2-1 lead. The Rebels were ready to bounce back as they came to the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning. After a walk by Alyssa Trejo, Jesse Farrell went yard over the center field wall to give UNLV a 3-2 lead.

In the top half of the final inning, Ellie Zellien and the Rebels' defense shut down the Penguins in order on two ground balls and a fly out to right field to complete the comeback win.

GAME 2: UNLV 10, Quinnipiac 0 (5 innings)

Things got off to a slow start for the Rebels and Bobcats as the first hit of the game didn't happen until the bottom of the third inning by Quinnipiac. The Rebels got their first hit in the top of the fourth inning by Maddie Schmidt leading things off with a single to left. Jesse Farrell then got the Rebels' second hit of the day on an RBI double to left to get UNLV on the board, 1-0. The bottom half of the fourth, UNLV retired Quinnipiac on three straight ground balls.
