Howell Completes First Event At NCAA Championships

The senior's 48th-place finish in the 200 IM led off her two-event week in Athens, Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's swimming senior Ruby Howell completed the first event for the Rebels' pair of individuals at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday at Georgia's Jack Bauerle Pool in Gabrielsen Natatorium.

In the first of her two scheduled events this week, Howell placed 48th overall in the 200 IM prelims with a time of 1:58.55.

UP NEXT: The meet continues Friday for UNLV's swimmers as senior Blanka Bokros is set to compete in the 100 fly. Prelims for the day start at 7 a.m. PT, followed by potential finals at 3 p.m. PT.
