CRESWELL, Ore. (UNLVRebels.com) – After shooting a final-round even-par 72, UNLV men's golf senior
Caden Fioroni finished tied for third at the 2024 Mountain West Championship held at Emerald Valley Golf Club (Par 72, 7,210 yards).
Fioroni (68-71-72) recorded a top-3 individual finish at the conference tournament for the second straight year with a final score of 5-under 211. He was the third Rebel this weekend to tally a bogey-free front nine in any of the three rounds.
Adding a second Scarlet & Gray top-15 individual finish, sophomore
Brett Sawaia tied for 16th at even-par 216 for the tournament. Rounding out the Rebel lineup (+4) that tied for seventh in the team standings, senior
Yuki Moriyama (+3) tied for 29th, junior
Trevor Lewis (+9) tied for 44th and
Ben Sawaia (+14) placed 48th.
After a playoff victory on the 18th hole, San Diego State won the team title to break a tie with New Mexico at 11-under after 54 holes. The MW individual crown went to Boise State's Cole Rueck at 7-under 209.
