Runnin' Rebels To Travel To Seattle For Exhibition Game Against Washington

UNLV men's basketball under new leadership in head coach Josh Pastner; First exhibition game for UNLV since 2019 will be played on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m. and broadcast on Big Ten Plus and ESPN Radio 1100 AM Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team will travel to Seattle for its first exhibition game of the season on Sunday, October 19, for a 12 p.m. start at Washington. The contest will be broadcast on Big Ten Plus and ESPN Radio 1100 AM Las Vegas.

Sunday's game will mark the first public showcase for the Runnin' Rebels under their new head coach Josh Pastner. Although new to UNLV, Pastner enters his 15th year as a collegiate head coach - having spent seven years leading Memphis before another seven seasons at the helm of Georgia Tech. He has compiled a career record of 276-187 (.596).

UNLV has just one returning player on its roster for the 2025-26 season in Jacob Bannarbie and welcomes 13 new faces. Those newcomers are made up of eight Division I transfers, a former international professional, a junior college transfer and three freshmen.

MORE ABOUT THE ROSTER: This season's UNLV squad has just one returning player from the 2024-25 Runnin' Rebels in redshirt sophomore forward Jacob Bannarbie. UNLV has 13 newcomers for the 2025-26 season, which are made of eight Division I transfers, a former international professional, a junior college transfer and three freshmen. UNLV has four seniors on the team, three juniors and three sophomores. Furthermore, the squad includes seven guards, six forwards and a center. Bannarbie played in 19 games for UNLV last season, making three starts. He averaged 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in 6.6 minutes on average, and shot 52.9% from the field with only 17 attempts on the season.

ABOUT WASHINGTON: The Huskies are led by head coach Danny Sprinkle, who is entering his second season at UW after coming from Utah State. Last season the team finished with an overall record of 13-18 and finished last in the Big Ten with a 4-16 league mark. He has revamped his roster with On3's No. 3 ranked transfer class, with four additions with Big Ten experience, including Desmond Claude. The Dawgs also bring back two starters from last season's team in Zoom Diallo and Franck Kepnang. Claude, who was voted All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the media and received NABC All-Pacific District honors, paced USC in 2024-25 at 15.8 points per game. Diallo had a successful true freshman campaign last season playing for his hometown school. The Tacoma product averaged 11.1 points per game. Washington's roster is made up of five upperclassmen, five sophomores and five freshmen.
