Ryan Abuan moved into a tie for second and helped UNLV men's golf shoot a 1-under 287 as a team in Sunday's second round at the Fallen Oak Collegiate being co-hosted by Ole Miss and Southern Mississippi at Fallen Oak Golf Club (par 72, 7,480 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: Abuan fired a 5-under 67, including an eagle on hole No. 6 for the second straight round, to bring his score within two shots of the lead at 8-under 136. Seniors
Brett Sawaia (+3) and
Trevor Lewis (+3) pulled alongside junior
Zach Little (+3) into a tie for 53rd, while senior
Wyatt Plattner (+4) rounds out the lineup in a tie for 58th. As an individual, junior
Mason Snyder posted a 1-under 71 to climb into 68th.
DAY-TWO LEADERBOARD: LSU maintained its team lead with a second-round 12-under 276 and sits at 27-under 549 through 36 holes. The Tigers' own Matthew Dodd-Berry reeled off a second-round 9-under 63 to take the individual lead at 10-under. As a team, UNLV (+1) goes into the third round in a tie for ninth in the team standings.
