LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV quarterback Anthony Colandrea, who has earned three Old Trapper Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week honors this season, was added on Thursday to the Manning Award Watch List.

Earlier this month, Colandrea was announced as one of eight Manning Award Stars after his performance in a win over Air Force, and now he's on the list for the overall honor, which goes annually to college football's top quarterback.

Colandrea (St. Petersburg, FL), who recorded the most passing yards in a game by a Rebel since 2018 with 361 vs. the Falcons, has completed 68-percent of his attempts this fall for 1,618 yards and 12 touchdowns vs. just four interceptions. He is second on the team with 410 net rushing yards and four more scores on the ground.

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates' bowl performances in its balloting.
 
UNLV, which is off to a 6-1 start for the first time since 1984, is next in action on Nov. 1 vs. New Mexico at noon at Allegiant Stadium. Fans can still take advantage of the Showtime Deal which, for only $66, allows them to attend the remaining three home games, with seating located on the north 200-level, including access to the Coors Light Landing.
