LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's soccer seniors
Sarah Martinez and
Cadence Whitley both scored in their Senior Day match as the Rebels played to a 2-2 draw vs. New Mexico Sunday at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
Martinez found the net in the 10th minute on an assist from her senior counterpart and captain
Torie Reardon, while Whitley snuck a low hopper past the UNM (8-3-5, 4-1-3 MW) keeper from the right of the box in the 57th minute for the Rebels (3-10-4, 1-4-3 MW). The Lobos responded after each of the Scarlet & Gray scores with their own goals in the 29th and 68th minutes for the split decision.

UP NEXT: UNLV will wrap up the regular season with a Silver State Series rivalry match up north Thursday at 7 p.m. against UNR.
NOTES:
- Whitley moved into the team lead with nine points on the season, while also pulling into a tie for the team high in goals with her third of the year.
- Martinez's score marked her second of the 2025 campaign.
- Reardon jumped into a tie for the team lead in assists alongside Whitley with her third helper this season.
- Also picking up assists were Tania Tapia on the Martinez goal and junior Elizabeth Bautista and sophomore Mauri Ashman for setting up Whitley.
