LOS ANGELES (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's and women's diving teams posted a top-10 individual finish on Friday's opening day of USC's Trojan Diving Invitational at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
- Freshman Evan Stingley (614.70) led the Rebel men's squad with an eighth-place finish in the 3-meter competition. His finals score of 326.55 went down as an NCAA zone qualifying score.
- Also adding a contribution was sophomore Ronan Robinson, who dove to a 16th place overall score of 406.75.
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
- In the 1-meter springboard, sophomore Allyse Abbott finished in 14th place with an overall score of 474.70.
- Following closely behind was sophomore Chelsey Dorosh, who posted an overall score of 466.50 to place 17th.
UP NEXT: The diving competition will continue Saturday with the men's platform and women's 3-meter competitions.
