LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Three different Lady Rebels scored in double-digits as the UNLV women's basketball team earned a 64-51 victory against Washington State in the 2025-26 season opener on Wednesday evening at The Pavilion.

Aaliyah Alexander was the leading scorer for the Scarlet & Gray (1-0) with 18 points and was tied for the team-lead in assists with three.
Jasmyn Lott and
Meadow Roland each put up 17 points on the night, with Lott shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Roland led the squad in rebounds with nine, while
Teagan Colvin brought down a career-high seven boards.

Eleonora Villa led the Cougars (0-2) with 19 points, while Charlotte Abraham had 10 points. Tanja Valancic brought down a team-high eight boards for Washington State.

THIRD QUARTER PUSH: The Lady Rebels and Cougars went into halftime with only a two-point deficit, 31-29, in favor of UNLV. Following the break, Washington State had a three-point play to take a one-point lead, 32-31. However, UNLV then answered back going on a 12-2 run and made it 43-34 and never looked back. The Scarlet & Gray held a double-digit lead, 47-37, going into the final 10 minutes of play and held WSU to only eight points in the third.Â

STAT OF THE GAME: UNLV held Washington State to shoot only 15.4% (2-for-13) from the field in the third quarter and did not allow a three-pointer.

OTHER NOTES:
- UNLV forced 20 Washington State turnovers and scored 20 points from turnovers.
- The Lady Rebels out-rebounded the Cougars 42-34.
- UNLV and Washington State were tied four times through the game and had three lead changes.
- The Lady Rebels had 18 points off second chances, compared to the Cougars' four points.
- UNLV is now 2-0 all-time against Washington State.
- The Lady Rebels are now 4-1 in season openers under head coach Lindy La Rocque.
