HOUSTON, Texas (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV Lady Rebels will close out their Texas road trip with a contest against Rice on Saturday, December 6 at 12 p.m. PT/2 p.m. CT.
ABOUT RICE: UNLV and Rice are tied in the all-time series 2-2. The last meeting between the two programs was over two decades ago. The Lady Rebels and Owls met in the second round of the 2004 WNIT, when the Scarlet & Gray defeated Rice 68-66. The Owls head into Saturday's contest with a 6-3 overall record and are coming off a 66-50 win over Sam Houston. Rice currently has two players scoring in double-digits and are led by Dominique Ennis' 12.4 points per game. Shelby Hayes is the second-leading scorer averaging 10.8 points per game. Hailey Adams leads the Owls in rebounds with 11.0 per game.

Meadow Roland leads the squad with 15.1 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game.
Jasmyn Lott is the second-leading scorer with 14.3 points per game.
Aaliyah Alexander averages 11.8 points per game.
Mariah Elohim is the leading three-point shooter, averaging 2.0 per game.
LAST TIME ON THE COURT: Jasmyn Lott led the UNLV women's basketball team with a career-high 21 points as the Lady Rebels defeated UTSA 66-39 on Wednesday evening at the Convocation Center. Lott shot 9-for-15 from the field and 3-for-6 from long range, which included two huge back-to-back threes in the fourth quarter. Additionally, Lott had an assist and a blocked shot.
Aaliyah Alexander was the second-leading scorer on the squad with 10 points.
Meadow Roland had a team-high 14 rebounds, dished four assists and three blocked shots.
Shelbee Brown was big for the Lady Rebels in the paint bringing down 10 rebounds which included five offensive and five defensive. Brown additionally had a team-high three steals on the night.
4X MOUNTAIN WEST REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS: The Lady Rebels continued to rise last season becoming the first Mountain West team since 2017 to collect four straight regular season titles. UNLV made a trip to the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament (WBIT) and collected the first postseason victory in over two decades. The Scarlet & Gray claimed the league's Coach of the Year in
Lindy La Rocque and Freshman and Sixth Player of the Year for the second straight year with
Meadow Roland.
