Zach Little's under-par scorecard provided the highlight of the UNLV men's golf team's second round Saturday at the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa (Par 72, 7,548 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: Little (+2) shot a 1-under 70, including a bogey-free back nine and birdie on the 18th hole, propelling himself into a tie for 43rd going into the third round. Right behind him in the lineup is senior
Caden Fioroni (+4), who made a team-high four birdies on the day and went 1-under on the back nine, in a tie for 62nd. Rounding out the Rebel group are junior
Wyatt Plattner (+6) in a tie for 87th, senior
Trevor Lewis (+11) in a tie for 111th and junior
Brett Sawaia (+14) in a tie for 136th.
DAY-TWO LEADERBOARD: Arizona State jumped the previous leader Oklahoma by three shots for the day-two lead at 13-under 563. Moving into the individual lead, ASU's Connor Williams and Ole Miss' Michael La Sasso pulled into a tie at 9-under through 36 holes.
The Scarlet & Gray (23rd) will look to close the gap between their score (+23) and the projected 15-team cutline, which sits at 12-over currently, set to take effect after the third round.
