LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Athletics saw 114 student-athletes recognized on the Spring 2025 Academic All-Mountain West Team, the conference announced Wednesday. The Rebels have now landed at least 70 honorees on the spring list for 22 consecutive years.
Track and field's department-leading 23 honorees headlined four programs to reach double digits in student-athletes honored. Women's swimming and diving's 22 honorees, baseball's 21 honorees and softball's 11 honorees completed that group.
The tally of Rebels placed on the Academic All-MW Team also included women's basketball's nine honorees, women's tennis' seven honorees, women's golf's six honorees, as well as men's basketball's, men's golf's and men's tennis' five honorees apiece.
Overall, 1,351 student-athletes were named to the Spring 2025 Academic All-Mountain West Team.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MW Team, student-athletes must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, while competing in 50 percent of their team's completed contests.
2024-25 ACADEMIC YEAR: The spring total gave UNLV 194 total student-athletes named to the Academic All-MW Team for the academic year, which increased from last year's 167 honorees. Joining their Scarlet & Gray counterparts, men's swimming and diving had 11 student-athletes and men's soccer followed with nine student-athletes named to the Academic All-WAC Team.
