LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – For the 10th straight year, the UNLV women's golf team will start the fall season in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at UNM's Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational. The tournament is being held at the UNM Championship Course (Par 72, 6,354 yards) Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 8-9.
This year, the Rebels' season-opening lineup features three returners, including junior
Zi Yu Foong and sophomores
Amber Chen and
Caitlin Shippam. Also representing the Rebels in their Scarlet & Gray debuts are newcomers in freshman
Demi Du and sophomore transfer
Leonie Krausse (Seminole State College).
THE FIELD: The 15-team field playing alongside UNLV and the host Lobos are BYU, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Fresno State, Long Beach State, Mercer, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Sacramento State, South Alabama, Southern Miss, UTEP and Washington State.
UNLV LINEUP: Foong, Chen, Du, Shippam and Krausse will play first through fifth, respectively. Junior transfer
Jane Huang (Seminole State College) will compete as an individual.
