ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Lady Rebels fell 68-57 against New Mexico on Wednesday evening at The Pit. The Scarlet & Gray (14-7, 9-2) still hold the overall series 45-29 and are 8-4 under head coach
Lindy La Rocque against the Lobos (14-7, 6-4).

Jasmyn Lott led UNLV with 19 points by shooting 7-for-13 from the field, 4-for-5 and sank one three-pointer.
Aaliyah Alexander was the second-leading scorer with 12 points and was second on the team in assists with three.

Joana Magalhães led New Mexico with 15 points, while Destinee Hooks had 13 points, respectively.

BATTLE IN THE SECOND HALF: Following the break, the Lady Rebels and Lobos exchanged a four-point scoring run and a six-point scoring run, but it wasn't until a 13-2 scoring for the Scarlet & Gray to cut the Lobos' lead to only five, 49-45. In the beginning of the final quarter, UNLV and New Mexico went back-and-forth, while the Lady Rebels were again able to get within five 55-50. The Lobos went on a 13-7 run to close out the game and hold onto the victory.

STAT OF THE GAME: The Lobos shot 50.9% (28 of 55) from the field for the game, while the Lady Rebels shot 40.4% (21 of 52). New Mexico held the lead for the entirety of the game.

OTHER NOTES:
- Sydni Summers dished a season-high four assists to lead UNLV.
- Three different Lady Rebels had five rebounds, which included Meadow Roland, Shelbee Brown and Destiny Brown.
- Destiny Brown also had seven points and two huge blocked shots and two steals.
- The Lobos out-rebounded the Lady Rebels 34-28.
- New Mexico led points in the paint 34-30.
- The Lobos had their best scoring run of 10 points in the first quarter
- The Lady Rebels had 12 fast break points.
- New Mexico's bench out-scored UNLV's bench 24-14.
- UNLV forced 11 New Mexico turnovers and scored 10 points off them.
