FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's and women's diving teams wrapped up Thursday's opening day of the Lumberjack Diving Invitational at the Wall Aquatic Center with two top-10 finishes.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
- Scoring the team-best mark on the day, freshman
Evan Stingley's combined 596.10 score in the 3-meter dive gave him a sixth-place finish. He moved three spots up from his ninth-place score during prelims (260.60) after posting a season-best mark of 335.50 in the event's finals.
- Junior
Ronan Robinson joined in on the action in the 3-meter dive, placing 11th with a score of 470.00.
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
- Sophomore
Allyse Abbott led the Scarlet and Gray's performances in the women's 1-meter finals with a ninth-place finish behind an overall score of 509.55.
- Additionally, sophomore
Chelsey Dorosh placed 14th overall (486.65) in the finals.
UP NEXT: The Rebel divers will conclude the Lumberjack Invitational with the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter Friday, with prelims starting at 10:30 a.m. PT.
