LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Lady Rebels defeated Grand Canyon 74-65 on Saturday afternoon at The Pavilion. The Scarlet & Gray (17-8, 12-3) are now 3-1 all-time against the Lopes (9-16, 8-7).

Meadow Roland recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 27 points and a season-high 15 rebounds. She shot 10-for-22 from the field, made one three and was 6-for-7 from the charity stripe.
Destiny Leo was the second-leading scorer with 14 points, by shooting 5-for-9 from the field and 4-for-8 from long range.
Shelbee Brown collected 11 points on the day against the Lopes.

Grand Canyon was led by Julianna LaMendola's 15 points and Karley Johnson's 11 points. The Lopes had two players tied for the team-lead in rebounds with seven apiece by Anisa Jeffries and Norah Moo.

SECOND HALF GAME OF RUNS: The Lady Rebels held a two-point lead 31-29 going into the break, while the Lopes came out of the half to tie the game 31-all. After going back-and-forth, UNLV scored eight straight points to go up by nine at 50-41. With less than 30 seconds left in the third, GCU sank one free throw to cut the deficit to seven, 57-50. The Lady Rebels came out firing in the fourth quarter going on a 12-3 run to go up by double-digits, 69-53. GCU answered back with a seven-point scoring run to cut UNLV's lead back to nine, 69-60. However, four straight free throws for the Lady Rebels put them back ahead by 13 points at 73-60. GCU was able to get one last lay up with 26 seconds left to cut the double-digit lead back down to nine, 74-65.

OTHER NOTES:
- The Lady Rebels dished 14 assists and were led by Aaliyah Alexander's six assists.
- UNLV won the paint battle 32-24.
- The Lady Rebels forced 16 Lopes' turnovers and scored 19 points off them.
- The Scarlet & Gray had nine steals from eight different players.
- GCU's bench out-scored UNLV's bench 33-10.
- The Lopes out-rebounded the Lady Rebels 41-38.
