FRESNO, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Lady Rebels defeated Fresno State 68-54 on Saturday afternoon at Save Mart Center. The Scarlet & Gray (19-10, 14-5) have now won 11 straight games over the Bulldogs (14-16, 8-11).
 
Aaliyah Alexander led the Lady Rebels with a season-high 21 points shooting 4-for-9 from the field, 5-for-6 from the three and was a perfect 6-for-6 at the charity stripe. Meadow Roland collected her 13th double-double of the season, ninth in Mountain West play, with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Mariah Elohim had 11 points on the day and led UNLV in assists with four. Shelbee Brown was tied for the team-lead in rebounds with 12. Brown additionally scored her 1,000th career point on a free throw in the third quarter.
 
The Bulldogs were led by Emilia Long's double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Long was also tied for the team-lead in assists with four.
 
HOT START: The Lady Rebels came off the jump ball and scored the first four-points of the game. UNLV then went on a 9-3 scoring run to make it 14-7. The Bulldogs drained a three pointer, but the Scarlet & Gray sank two more layups to close out the quarter, 18-10. The Lady Rebels then went on a 6-1 scoring run to take a 22-11 lead and never looked back.
 
OTHER NOTES:

• The Lady Rebels' biggest lead was 22 points in the fourth quarter.
• UNLV and Fresno State were tied in rebounds 40 apiece. 
• The Lady Rebels won the paint party 32-22.
• UNLV out-scored Fresno State in three of the four quarters. The Bulldogs had only a two-point advantage in the third quarter, out-scoring the Lady Rebels 14-12.
• Roland had three blocked shots on the day.
• The Lady Rebels forced 17 turnovers and scored 10 points off them.
