LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV junior Ava Olson and freshman Rachel Wigginton are set to compete at the 2026 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships from Wednesday-Saturday, March 18-21 at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
Olson is slated to swim in the 1650 free and the 500 free, while Wigginton is set to compete in the 200 fly.
Originally from Tulare, California, Olson will make her first national championship appearance. She enters the competition ranked 49th in the 1650 free (16:23.21) and 57th in the 500 free (4:43.08) among competitors scheduled to swim in those events. Olson earned her qualifying marks at the Mountain West championships, breaking the program record in both events and earned gold (500 free) and bronze medals (1650 free).
Wigginton, a native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, will also make her first national championship appearance. She will compete in the 200 fly and ranks 53rd (1:57.08) among competitors scheduled in the event. Wigginton earned her qualifying time by winning gold in the event at the MW Championships.
