PHOENIX, Ariz. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV softball team fell 10-0 in five innings against Grand Canyon in game two of the three-game Mountain West series on Saturday afternoon at GCU Softball Stadium.

Natalie Turner and
Lyla Gonzalez all tallied hits for the Rebels (28-19, 15-6) against the Lopes (44-7, 17-4).
Keyannah Chavez,
Diamond Sefe and
Mantha Hatzenbeller each had a walk on the day.

HOW IT WENT DOWN: Grand Canyon got on the board, 2-0, in the bottom of the first inning after a two-run home run. In the bottom of the second inning, the Lopes scored three runs on two hits to take a 5-0 lead. GCU tallied four more runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning to go up 9-0. In the bottom of the fourth, Grand Canyon scored on a sacrifice fly and made it 10-0. In the top of the fifth inning, the Rebels were unfortunately retired in order.

- Yanina Sherwood struck out one batter.
- Chavez has now extended her on-base streak to 18 straight games.
- Sefe is now on a 14-game on base streak.
- Gonzalez has now reached base in eight straight games.
- Williams is now on a four-game hitting streak.
