Rebels Picked As No. 8 Seed For NCAA Bryan Regional

UNLV will make its 34th NCAA postseason appearance at Traditions Club from May 18-20

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's golf team found out its NCAA Regional destination on the Golf Channel Wednesday morning. The Rebels will make their 34th NCAA postseason appearance after being picked to compete at the Bryan Regional hosted by Texas A&M at Traditions Club from May 18-20.

One of 14 teams heading to the same location, the Rebels will be the No. 8 seed in a field headlined by top-seeded Texas, No. 2 seed North Carolina, No. 3 seed Tennessee, No. 4 seed New Mexico and the No. 5-seed Aggies. Out of those teams, four squads are ranked in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd top-25 rankings, including the fourth-ranked Longhorns, the ninth-ranked Tar Heels, the Volunteers at 16th and the Lobos at 21st.

"I'm really proud of our team - all nine of our guys. They're doing great things on and off the golf course," said UNLV head coach Jean-Paul Hebert. "We have the chance to go to the NCAA Regionals at Texas A&M, which isn't too far from where we've played tournaments these past couple of years. That's why we play tournaments in different parts of the country, so that we can be prepared for this moment right here. The postseason is what we play for all year, so our guys are as ready as you can be, excited and motivated to go play."

The top five teams and the top individual at the  54-hole tournament will advance to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, being held May 29-June 3. One of six regional sites, the Traditions Club joins University of Georgia Golf Course (host: Georgia), Bermuda Run Country Club (host: North Carolina), Ohio State Golf Club (host: Ohio State), Trysting Tree Golf Club (Host: Oregon State), and The Gallery Golf Club (Host: Arizona) with hosting duties.

UNLV has recorded six top-5 performances in the 2025-26 campaign, including wins at the Mountain West Championship and the NB3 Matchplay at Twin Warriors event. The squad also notched a tied-for-second finish (John A. Burns Intercollegiate), a third-place finish (Southwestern Invitational), a tie for third (Western Intercollegiate) and a fourth-place finish (Wyoming Cowboy Classic) during the regular season.
