ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (UNLVRebels.com) – After lightning halted day-one play, UNLV women's golf shares the Monday lead at New Mexico's Dick McGuire Invitational at UNM Championship Course (Par 72, 6,354 yards). 

With only a handful of holes left to complete the day's scheduled 36 holes, the Rebels go into the final day of competition at 7-under tied with Pepperdine. 

FIRST ROUND HIGHLIGHTS: Three Rebels posted under-par scorecards on the opening 18 holes, led by freshman Kuree Little's 3-under 69 in her collegiate debut. Sophomore Lana Yamagata's 2-under 70 and junior Amber Chen's 1-under 71 followed Little in that category. 

Following the finalized round one, the Scarlet & Gray positioned itself in a tie for second at 5-under 283 before taking a step up in the standings.

SECOND ROUND HIGHLIGHTS: Another solid stretch of golf before the stoppage has three more UNLV players currently shooting par-or-better scores in the unfinished round two. Chen is 2-under in the round, senior Zi Yu Foong takes a 1-under into her remainder of the round and Little holds onto an even-par round.  

REBEL ROUNDUP: All four scorers in UNLV's lineup ended the day in the top 15. Chen (-3) and  Little (-3) lead the UNLV lineup in a tie for third, with Yamagata (-1) and Foong (+1) standing behind them in ties for ninth and 15th, respectively.

DAY-ONE LEADERBOARD: The Rebels join the Waves in clinging to a one-shot lead over the host Lobos (-6) in the team standings. Pepperdine's Kylee Choi grips the individual lead at 8-under.

UP NEXT: The second round will resume at 6:30 a.m. PT with continuous play into the final round. On the last 18 holes, teams will be paired with the same groups as the first 36 holes.
