LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's basketball has received a signed commitment from
Marley Washenitz to join the Lady Rebels for the upcoming season, head coach
Lindy La Rocque announced today.
"We couldn't pass up the opportunity to add Marley to our roster for this year! Her experience, competitiveness and leadership are a huge addition to our group," said La Rocque. "She's a great human being first and proven basketball player and that will elevate our championship culture."
Washenitz, a 5-foot-7 guard from Fairmont, West Virginia, spent the 2025-26 season at Arizona State. She played and started all 35 games for the Sun Devils, while leading them in steals (1.9 per game) and was second in three-pointers per game (1.3), third in assists per game (2.3) and fourth in scoring (7.9 points per game). Washenitz scored in double-digits 12 times for ASU which included a season-high 19 points at San Diego on November 13. During the postseason with the Sun Devils, Washenitz was the second leading scorer in four games averaging 11.8 per game. Prior to arriving in Tempe, Arizona, Washenitz spent her first three seasons at Pittsburgh. While at Pitt, she tallied 517 points, 237 assists and 141 steals in 91 combined games.

Keonni Lewis,
Norah Moo,
Terri'A Russell and Tristan William as incoming players for the Lady Rebels.
The Lady Rebels 2026-27 non-conference schedule was announced earlier this month. UNLV will open the season in the TNT Sports Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas Women's Showcase against USC on Monday, November 2 at 1 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena.
