2022: Earned his first letter as a Rebel by playing in 11 games, including starting nine … Ranked ninth on the team with 44 total tackles and fifth with 5.5 TFL to go with two QB sacks … Posted five tackles, including two TFL in his UNLV debut in a win over Idaho State … Recorded six TT in a victory at his former school, USU in Game Four … Had six TT and a sack the following week in a win vs. New Mexico … Finished with a season-high seven takedowns and another sack the next week at San Jose State … Picked up a fumble and returned it three yards for a touchdown in Game 11 at Hawai’i … Also later forced and fumble and recovered another fumble vs. the Warriors … Closed his campaign with six TT in a win over UNR.

UTAH: Transferred to the former Mountain West program located in Salt Lake City. 2021: Did not see game action for the Utes.

UTAH STATE: Played linebacker and defensive end in 15 games for the Mountain West school from 2018-20. 2020: Started three of the five games he played … Finished the season with 15 total tackles, which included two sacks and 3.5 TFL, to go along with one fumble recovery and one pass breakup … Had a season-high eight tackles, including a sack and a fumble recovery vs. Fresno State … Posted five tackles vs. UNR and his other sack was against Boise State. 2019: Appeared in nine games, with one start against BYU … Finished the season with 23 tackles, including earning his first double-digit tackle outing with a career-high 10 stops against Kent State in the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl … Had seven tackles against BYU. 2018: Redshirted the season as he appeared in just one game.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Highland HS in Salt Lake City … A four-year letterman who helped the Rams to the state playoffs all four years, including the 4A semifinals as a sophomore … As a senior, finished with 68 tackles, including seven sacks, as Highland went 7-4 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the 5A state playoffs … Offensively, caught seven passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns, to go along with four kickoff returns for 65 more yards … Had 24 tackles and a sack and led the Rams with 17 receptions for 268 yards and three touchdowns as a junior … Also played basketball.

PERSONAL: The son of Pamela and Christopher Shelton … Has one sister … Earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology in May 2023.
