Bonnell enters his third season with the UNLV baseball program in 2015 ... Was a weekend starting pitcher as a sophomore and will vie for a starting spot this season ... 2014 SUMMER - RISING JUNIOR
Spent part of the summer with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod Baseball League ... Appeared in four games, all starts, for the Red Sox before shutting down in order to rest his arm.
2014 - SOPHOMORE
Made 16 appearances, all starts, for the Rebels in 2014 ... Boasted a record of 7-5 and struck out 48 in 114.2 innings of work while sporting a 2.90 ERA ... Named to the Gregg Olson Award Watch List, which honors college baseball's "Breakout Player of the Year" on May 13 ... Made a team-high 12 quality starts ... Held opposing batters to a batting average of .248 ... Did not allow a walk in his first 30 innings of work ... Recorded a team-high three complete games: against Central Michigan (Feb. 16), against San Diego State (March 23) and at Fresno State (April 6) ... Won 2014 debut over Central Michigan (Feb. 16) by allowing only one earned run on five hits and striking out a career-high 11 in a complete-game performance ... Tossed second career complete game in a 9-1 win over San Diego State (March 23) and allowed one earned run on seven hits ... Earned Mountain West Player of the Week honors after throwing a complete-game shutout at Fresno State (April 7) ... Helped the Rebels capture a 2-1 victory over North Dakota State (May 31) at the Corvallis Regional of the NCAA Tournament after allowing one run on five hits in 7.0 innings of work.
2013 SUMMER - RISING SOPHOMORE
Pitched for the Mankato MoonDogs in the Northwoods league ... Helped the MoonDogs to a 38-32 overall record ... Made 16 appearances, including seven starts, sported a 4-3 overall record and held a 4.21 ERA in 53.1 innings of work ... Struck out 48 batters, which tied for second highest on the team.
2013 - FRESHMAN
Played in 21 games and made two starts for the Rebels as a true freshman ... Started first career game against Tennessee (Feb. 16) at first base... Pitched in eight games for the Rebels and made including one start against Arizona State (April 10) ... Pitched a season high 2.2 innings against New Mexico.

A 2012 graduate of Centennial High School in Las Vegas ... A three-year letterwiner under Charlie Cerrone ... Was named to the all-state first team, all-region first team and all-conference first team ... Led the Bulldogs in batting average (.548), innings pitched (62), ERA (1.92) and strikeouts (68) as a senior ... Also recorded 35 RBI, four homeruns and sported a 7-1 record ... Named to the all-region second team and all-conference first team as a junior ... Led the team with a .476 batting average and 45 RBI while sporting a team low ERA of 3.89 in 50.1 innings pitched ...
