Biography

UNLV: A versatile player who has twice changed sides of the ball for the Rebels … A former wideout, he moved to the defensive secondary because of a string of injuries late in 2018 and made the switch permanent during 2019 spring practice … Used a medical redshirt season last fall after starting the first three games … One of four Rebels from the Peach State on this year’s roster … Last name is pronounced “TECK-min.”

2019: Earned starting safety job and started first three games before suffering a season-ending injury … Used his medical redshirt … Despite the abbreviated season he still ranked 15th on the team with 15 total tackles.

2018: Appeared in all 12 games, including making his first three career starts as a WR … Hauled in 11 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns and then made news on defense late in the year … In the first quarter alone at Hawai’i in Game 11, Tejchman started on offense, played on defense at safety for the first time as a Rebel (grabbing an interception) and fielded a kickoff on special teams … Finished with four total tackles.

2017: Earned his first letter as a Rebel by appearing in 11 games … Caught seven passes for 138 yards, with a long of 50 … Also touched the ball on five rushes and gained 38 yards with a high of 11 … One of a school-record 26 Rebels named 2017 Academic All-Mountain West.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of North Cobb HS … A four-year letterwinner under coach Shane Queen … A three-star prospect according to Rivals and 247Sports … Made the Cobb All-Metro team as a defensive back following senior season … Was all-state honorable mention by the Georgia Sports Writers Association … Finished with 30 catches for 692 yards and eight touchdowns despite missing five games during senior season … Helped lead the Warriors to a 10-3 record and an appearance in the state quarterfinals … Earned all-county honors on offense and defense as a junior and a senior and was named the 48-Minute Man of the Year as a senior.
