UNLV: One of the nine Rebels returning for a Super Senior season this fall … A veteran, athletic, locally produced offensive lineman who is again an honors candidate up front in what will be his sixth season suiting up for the Rebels … Named preseason Third Team-All MW by Phil Steele and a fourth-team pick by Athlon … Saw immediate playing time as a rookie and then became a starter at the end of his sophomore campaign … A member of the UNLV Dean’s Honor List in spring 2020 … A three-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree. 

2020: Started all six games at right guard for the Rebels … Named 2020 Second Team Preseason All-Mountain West by Athlon and Third Team by Phil Steele’s. 

2019: Earned Honorable Mention All-MW after helping produce league’s regular-season rushing champion … Started in eight of his 10 appearances as a junior … Started six straight outings at right guard before moving to left guard for the final two contests. 

2018: Redshirted season … Appeared in three games, including making a spot start at LG at Arkansas State, before taking advantage of the new NCAA redshirt rules. 

2017: Appeared in all 12 games and started the final four contests at left guard. 

2016: Earned his first letter as a Rebel by playing in four games, including making his collegiate debut in the season opener vs. Jackson State. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Bishop Gorman HS where he was a member of the prep powerhouse Gaels program under coach Tony Sanchez and then Kenny Sanchez ... Rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports ... Ranked the No. 5 overall player in the state of Nevada by ESPN and the No. 104 OG in the nation by 247Sports ... Joined prep teammate Jaron Caldwell in becoming the earliest commits in program history when they pledged their services to UNLV in February 2015 … Helped pave the way for a Gaels rushing attack that averaged 9.51 yards per carry as the team rushed for 4,307 yards in 2015 ... Did not lose a game as a member of the varsity squad (30-0 in two seasons) and was part of back-to-back teams that were named national champions by USA TODAY ... Earned first team all-state honors as a senior ... Represented the United States and was a starter on the O-line in the 2016 International Bowl in Arlington, Texas, on Feb. 1, 2016 ... Helped the USA defeat Canada 33-0 at AT&T Stadium. 

PERSONAL: Julio Garcia II is the son of Monica and Julio Garcia Sr. … Earned his degree in hospitality management in December 2020 and is pursuing a second bachelor's in Latin American studies.
