Made 15 appearances and started 13 games for the Rebels as a true freshman ... Sported a 4-6 record to go with a 5.71 ERA ... Recorded 48 strikeouts in 75.2 innings of work ... Earned first career victory at Loyola Marymount (Feb. 18) and took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in what was head coach Tim Chambers' 500th career win ... Recorded a season-high seven strikeouts twice, in first two career starts: at LMU (Feb. 18) and against Utah (Feb. 25) in Corpus Christi, Texas.

HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letterman for Las Vegas Rancho High School as a center-fielder and pitcher ... An all-state pitcher and centerfielder in 2011 ... Helped guide the Rams to back-to-back Sunrise Regional Championships in 2010 and '11, a state runner-up finish in 2010 and a third-place finish at the Nevada State Tournament in 2011 ... Rancho finished with a 32-7 record during his senior campaign ... Hit .456 (52-for-114) as a sophomore and had 10 RBI ... Was 5-2 with an ERA of 2.95, recording 56 strikeouts in 38.0 innings pitched ... As a junior, batted .446 (54-for-121) with 29 RBI and three home runs ...
